You’ve just won the JobsGroup.net Desktop Soccer Challenge, how do you feel?
Relieved but ecstatic, it's been a challenge to keep ahead over the last few
days. I've have had a few injuries lately, but my fitness allowed me to ride
the challenges and reach my goal.
What was the most difficult part of the game?
The keep-it-up game was difficult from the start and took a long time to
master. Viagra helped.
Do you have any advice to new players?
You are going to need plenty of time on the PC to get a good score on all the
games. And don't get caught when you should be working, you could get yourself
a red card.
Have you won anything like this before?
I won a fishing rod and reel a couple of weeks ago after completing a survey
for one of the fishing magazines.
What is the first song you going to put on your new iPod?
'
We are the champions' by Queen.
Anything else you want to add?
It was hard at the start, but after lots of time on the PC I succeeded. You
know what they say – it's a game of two halves. I didn't look at the game for
two weeks when I was sitting pretty at the top of the table only to see I was
seven points behind with two days to go before the end of the competition and
I had to put some hard graft in. It was still touch and go with two hours
left to the end. It was tiring up and down the field of play, ahead, behind,
level, then in front again, with no injury time expected, I just had to keep
going, until at the final blast of the whistle it was a win by 39 to 37.
I would like to thank my coach Jon Hobbs, my wife Naomi for allowing me to
train during work time, and my surgeon Mr Raine for my successful hand surgery.

You’ve just won the JobsGroup.net Desktop Soccer Challenge, how do you feel?
On top of the world, who would have thought all that free time I had at work would be useful?
What was the most difficult part of the game?
The most difficult part of it was sneakily doing it when the boss wasn't looking,
but I mastered faking difficulties with the computer.
Have you won anything like this before?
I haven't won anything like this since I used to run around taking sweets off kids
saying I won it off them for having quicker hands.
